Pack4Food

Our organisation

Pack4Food is a non-profit organization founded in 2005 aiming to stimulate innovation in food packaging. It represents a collaboration platform between 1) stakeholders in the whole value chain of the food and packaging industry and 2) research institutes with broad expertise in food or packaging. Pack4Food brings together knowledge and innovation, always working from three angles: the food product, the packaging material and the filling process.

Our Expertise

Pack4Food initiates and coordinates different research projects on:
1) bioplastics for food packaging,
2) optimization of packaging in terms of balancing the packaging composition versus the required food shelf-life and
3) the environmental impact of different food packaging systems throughout the value chain.

These (inter)national projects are actively supported by the industry as well as associations representing the food and packaging chain.
